Friday night we just stayed in and since hubby gave up tv for lent - we watched "The Mummy" which was one of those movies we just never saw. I'd give it a B - a poor man's version of Indiana Jones.
Since j had to leave 6 am on sunday for a business trip to the east coast - he took the saturday morning to run errands and hit the zoo. it was so nice to have the house to myself in the morning - i was fairly unproductive - which was kind of the point in my humble opinion since i have the kids 24/7 over the next few days. i exercised, cleaned up a bit, and then grabbed lunch with D.
As i was wrapping up lunch with D, i got a phone call from hubby - j had returned home with the kids and while j was reading stories to baby k before her nap, t-man came upstairs with blood all over his hands and bleeding in the back of his head! i rushed home to find the family room in disarray with pillows all over the floor and blood on them. i then ran upstairs, but at that point j had pretty much cleaned up t-man and located the injury. t-man had been jumping on some pillows on the floor downstairs, fell and with amazing accuracy hit an edge of a shelf just right so that he had a cut the size of a head of a pin. it really was that small - i guess what they say about heads being bleeders is true.
once i saw that t-man was ok, i could fully appreciate him telling me that he put one of the pillows out on the patio to dry!!! i found it hilarious that this 3 yr. old fell and while he was bleeding all over himself, took the time to put a pillow with a bloody handprint out on the patio before going upstairs to his daddy. is that a sign of good parenting or bad parenting?????
Saturday night we went out with friends for ethiopian which was VERY yummy - as good as one of our favorite places in JP (which i now think is no longer - anyone???).
Sunday was a matter of survival. j left at 4:30 am and i was on my own for the next 3 days. but the kids were very good (except having to leave mass twice and eventually just aborting all together).
