Well this morning started off differently. yesterday, hubby took the SUV to run some manly errands (think home depot) and removed one of the car seats. we left the car seat in the garage overnight and this morning i picked it up and began buckling it back in the car when i looked down and noticed all these ants scurrying around the base. it was disgusting. i was too late in ripping the car seat out - a bunch of ants were already infesting the car. i grabbed the mini-vac and sucked them up. needless to say, i spent my morning hosing down the car seat and then taking the car to the car wash to vacuum the back seats and catch any remaining ants (if any).
then tonight i saw a big, black spider in our garage - i'm thinking black widow. Actually, i'm pretty sure it was. When i got hubby to come out and kill it - it was gone. we'll have to get tomorrow - i don't want the kids getting bitten.
with the ants and spiders, i am not a fan of CA.

DOOD, so sorry about the bug situation, just think how happy you'll be this January when you're super busy with all of the snow shoveling you *won't* be doing!
Sounds like you have some helpful and friendly neighbors--they might have some good advice on the subject...although shouldn't the spider be too busy eating the ants to bite the munchkins? One can only hope. :) xo!
yeah - planning on asking our neighbor. she is from the fresno area.
btw, how have you found the time to post comments with your little bambino? she must be good and sleeps alot? :)
Haven't really had the time unfortch--the little miss isn't sleeping as much as I would like (not during the day, anyhow). She's crying in my lap as we speak. :(
