Happy cinco de mayo!

in honor of the mexican holiday, this irish happy homemaker made some darn good fresh guacamole and turkey tacos. i was expecting more partying out here, especially since there is such a large mexican population in this town - but it seemed relatively quiet to me. the only recognition of the holiday that i saw was at walmart this morning - salsas, tortillas, tacos, etc. were all on a special display and avocados were 3 for $1.00.
