so as far as i can remember - memorial day weekend is the official start to summer not only for me but for the rest of boston as well. also, my birthday oftens falls on memorial day weekend and so even more celebrationS are in order. but instead of heading down to the cape this year - i'll be flying out to NC to scout out the area and maybe look at some houses. i don't know if i'll even get to have any cake :( fortunately, my mom is leaving the cape to meet me in NC so i won't have to be flying solo the whole time. even though we won't have time for site seeing since we'll be busy with the neighborhoods and houses - it'll be fun - we can still make a bit of a girls weekend out of it.

PS - this is sad but true - i looked it up and there are dunkin' donuts where i am going in NC! i'm am SO excited for a decaf iced coffee!!!
