this morning little miss k slipped in the bathtub (it was dry) while trying to get some of her bath toys out and split open her chin. the silver lining is that it is far enough under her chin that i don't think the scar will be very visible. anyway, this prompted a trip past the local hospital and 30 miles all the way into fresno to have some competent doctors stitch her up.
on my way out of town, we passed a big truck carrying tons of chickens in cages. it is quite an unappetizing sight. one that i had never seen before i moved here and one that i now see at least once a month (is this why there are so many vegetarians in CA?) on the way back i noticed a new billboard all in spanish just before the spanish verizon billboard. need i say again just how different it is here from boston????
so you know, little miss k should be fine. they glued the cut shut and said that the scaring shouldn't be noticeable. let's hope that holds true!

Oh no! Glad to hear she's ok - probably more nervewracking for you and J :)
And I have to echo B's sentiment about renaming your blog - I just thought about that exact topic the other day (while my brain was frying in our East Coast heatwave!)...
Not to worry.. Baby K also recently took a trip to the ER after falling and cutting under her chin on the coffee table. they glued her up and she is good as new. It is really amamzing stuff compared to stitches. The good news is Miss K will never remember the day.. although i am sure you will never forget...
true - i do think i am probably more emotionally scarred than her.
parker - got any name suggestions for me???
