Congrats to the celtics! so excited that they won but it did make me feel old - it has already been 22 years since the last championship?!?!? i remember the team in the mid-80's as if it were maybe 10 or 15 years ago - i was in elementary school then. my best friend, judith, was a huge fan and had an extra ticket to a game for me (this was probably '84/'85) but my parents wouldn't let me go because it was a school night :( she got danny ainge to sign her basketball that night!!! i was so jealous. and yes, mom and dad, i still remember you not letting me go to the game.
(i can hear my mom and dad chuckling from across the country right now telling me i had "such a rough life")

I remember them making you miss the game too (and you lamenting how unfair it all was). For the record, I STILL think they should have let you go!
